It’s a quiet summer this year with no summer camp, though the teachers and I are busy organizing the new year’s programme for September 2014 and into 2015. We’re kind of excited here in the EH headquarters, as come 2015 we’re going to be planning celebrating the school’s 25th anniversary! I know I’ll be looking for any old excuse to party and you can expect to hear all about what we have planned in due course!
For this new term, September 2014 we are starting some new ventures detailed below, along with new classes for juniors: Acting for the Stage and Screen workshops: As part of our Youth theatre we will be arranging acting workshops for students aged 12 – 18 years who are interested in improving their acting skills, understanding the difference between the stage, television and film performances and how to approach an audition. These workshops will be conducted with the help of actor Geoff Minogue, aka Tommy Dillon from Fair City!… Musicals: On Saturdays we will be dancing, singing and acting out bits from our favourite musicals. It’s new so we’re going to ease into things with two short terms. If it proves popular, I have a feeling this group will be able to take on a full musical in no time. Watch this space!
